”No danger on the roof” (I know it sounds silly but thats the translation of the saying from Swedish). Thats what Sofia is saying at 9-6 in super tiebreak today…sounds very comfortable. NOOOOT! Everyone knows that in supertiebreak everything is possible and doesnt matter so much what the score is. But this time Sofia was right, we won 10-8 after a winning forehand down the line signed by Arvidsson. So what else could i say then ”yes everything under control here;)”?!
No seriously it was a fun win today. It’s a long time since both me and Sofia were in semis in doubles and playing well. So thats really fun! Seeing as i lost early in the singles i at least have something to look forward to everyday still with the doubles. Gives me some confidence and energy that i for sure need!
Singles was no success this week. It was a hard loss especially mentally. I am changing a few [...]
All the way from Buenos Aires i have now landed in Memphis. It’s actually already a few days now that i have been here now. Practicing and preparing for the indoor hard court. Its different again to play indoor with the start and stops. Clay is more nice for your body in my opinion when you can slide and without the extreme turns…I like to play indoor…I like everything though. Indoor, outdoor, clay, plastic you name it…every surface is unique and a challenge!
Me and Jeff my coach have been up early in the mornings to get the whole practice courts alone. Twice we started at 7.30 and i can feel today that it has been worth it. Im hitting the ball i think better than i have been for a long time. So that makes it really fun to practice but [...]
Last tournament for this trip before i get to go hooooooome again;) Always nice to come home BUT first thing first.
Arrived here in Osaka from Beijing on wednesday, as you know i didnt do that great last week. I found it quite tricky to play in Beijing to be honest. I never really felt a good feeling on the courts and balls where flying little too much. Or very much flying. You have those weeks always here and there when you never really get in to it as you wished. However i did my best but was not [...]
Long day yesterday!
I played Martinez Sanchez first round of qualy and I won that 64 61. Got a bad start was down 3-1 after making 3 terrible double faults in my own service game=( But then I was fighting back and from then it was going pretty good! Happy with the win!
After a few hours rest I had to play again. Martinez Sanchez was playing in Seoul the day before our match and seeing as she lost there in quarters I had to wait for her one day. I have to say that I do think it’s a stupid rule from the WTA that if a player is still in a tournament week before one player might have to wait and get two matches one day as it happened for me now. Not fair. If a player does good the week before I think its well done and then bad luck you cant play next week if you are in qualy. Caus I came here early and I was ready to play on Friday… So why should I [...]
Long time no seen;)
Been taking a little break from the site as you probably have seen. Its been a lot last few weeks and i just didnt find the right time to update everything as i was hoping to do.
But now im back on track and will try and keep you all updated for the rest of the season!!
After the loooong US trip i went home to my little apartment to reaload some battery. Was very nice with a few days off where i did pretty much nothing.
For me the trip to the states was very good tennis wise. Again you can always wish for more but if i can keep that level of play up rest of the season and even a little better next year im sure i will be back in top 50 [...]
