How come you started with tennis?
My family is a very “sporty” one and we tried to do all kind of sports at very young age! Seeing as i grew up in the North of Sweden, skiing was the closest sport but when i tried tennis with my older brother there was nothing else even compareable!! So we played every day on the real court, in front of the house over bikes or just volley- volley to each other on the grass!
Person(s) that has meant a lot to you in your carrier so far?
For sure my brother at young age, my best hitting partner and biggest rival at that time=) But in general my family that has always supported me and made it possible to always keep playing! Its really difficult to pick just one, maybe even impossible caus there are many during different parts of my carrier that have had a big impact!
Best win?
Against Na Li in Miami!
But also against China to bring Sweden up to World Group in Fed Cup.
Person you look up to?
Always liked sport people with a strong personality! And one of them i would for sure say Therese Alshammar. She is a swimmer who never gives up, never stops believing in herself and she seems to think that everything she wants is possible to get!! Maybe she will not get it in the end but for sure no one can ever say that she didnt try hard enough! And i like that!!
What do you think you would be doing if you didn´t play tennis?
I have always been very interested in animals. So my first thought is that i would have studied to become a veterinary! But seeing as i also love sports so much maybe i would just have done someething else than tennis like handball, skiing or football…
Funny tennis story you got told?
Once Björn Borg and Roger Federer were playing an exhibition match against each other! And at some point during the match Roger was approaching to the net. Then Björn was passing him down the line with a super nice backhand! And just after the point Björn is saying loud to Roger… “Roger, Roger…Never ever attack on my backhand again”;)
And i thought that was kind of “catchy”.
If there is one person you could have a “coffee” with, who would that be?
Therese Alshammar! Again caus i think she is super cool and would be inspiring to just hear her story from her side as a swimmer!
Craziest thing you have done?
Ohhh thats tough to say caus im not a big adventure girl! But i really like speed somehow and many times drive too fast and go skiing downhill way faster than i should! But feels good to not always be under control!
If you win on a lottery, what would you do?
I would invest the money good to start with, then start thinking about something nice i can get and do with the money. And seeing as i have promised my mum a porsche at some point this would maybe be a good time to give her that;)
What scares you?
Things you can´t control like…sicknesses, the crazy weather all around the world and war! But also small things like bugs, spiders and sharks!
If you could be someone else for one day, who would that be?
This is super hard to answer caus its so many! One day maybe one with crazy much power and can make a good decision, another day a singer or songwriter that can make other people happy with music, next day a crazy successful athlete like Usain Bolt, to feel how it is to be the very best in the world! But many many more as well…
A nice day…?
Wake up at home in my own bed with a nice sleep in, sun is shining so go down to the city and have a lunch by the water, meet up with a cool person and basically just relax!

Maybe she sings this song for/to a special one but for me it can also mean that you should fight for something you really love to do! Like my tennis, never give up and keep fighting till you reach where you wanna be!

I really like Australia! Its clean, very nice people, good weather and amazing landscape! Also easy with the English language. Only minus point is that its so far away.

When im home i like to go and support my city’s football team Helsingborg IF! Also i follow our national teams in all kind of sports like Skiing, Handboll, Football, Table tennis… and of course Curling caus Sweden wins everything in Curling on the woman side!!!
But i also like to see friends visit my family and spend time with my dads dog=)
