Long day yesterday!
I played Martinez Sanchez first round of qualy and I won that 64 61. Got a bad start was down 3-1 after making 3 terrible double faults in my own service game=( But then I was fighting back and from then it was going pretty good! Happy with the win!
After a few hours rest I had to play again. Martinez Sanchez was playing in Seoul the day before our match and seeing as she lost there in quarters I had to wait for her one day. I have to say that I do think it’s a stupid rule from the WTA that if a player is still in a tournament week before one player might have to wait and get two matches one day as it happened for me now. Not fair. If a player does good the week before I think its well done and then bad luck you cant play next week if you are in qualy. Caus I came here early and I was ready to play on Friday… So why should I wait when im ready and qualy starts Friday? Makes no sense to me anyways!!!
However it was just to accept and I had a new match after a few hours. Karatantcheva was next up a player I played in Acapulco last time. And I do think the score was looking kind of the same after thinking back on it. Karatantcheva is a difficult player I think caus she is moving very well. And she is tricky in that way that when you do get her under pressure she doesn’t take any risks and tries and goes for a crazy shot, no she is just trying to play deep back and she is very good in that. So many times I was hitting, hitting, and hitting and thought point was over but then I had to start over again…
I managed to win after a tough battle and im in the main draw… wiiiii=)
Today I was supposed to play Oprandi. But since I woke up and looked out it has been raining NON STOP!!
So matches only on center court today caus there they have a roof. But I was no center court match so I had an easy day all day=) Just little gym to feel good!!
New try tomorrow again
